Li Dongsheng, founder and Chairman of TCL. Deputy to the 16th CPC National Congress, Deputy to the 10th to 14th National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the 12th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Vice Chairman of the China International Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Shenzhen Federation of Commerce.

Dongsheng Li graduated from South China University of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 1982. In 2005 and 2007, he completed the CEO class of China Europe Business School and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business respectively. In 2022, Dongsheng Li graduated from Tsinghua University's Business Entrepreneur Scholars Program and received a PhD in Global Management from the University of Minnesota.

After graduating from university, Li participated in the founding of TCL. In 1985, he became the general manager of TCL Communication Equipment Co., LTD., in 1993, he became the general manager of TCL Electronics Group, and in 1996, he became the chairman and CEO of TCL Group. In 2019, TCL Group completed its restructuring, and Li Dongsheng served as chairman and CEO of TCL Technology Group and Chairman of TCL Industrial Holdings.

Li Dongsheng has rich experience in the management of science and technology manufacturing industry and the globalization of Chinese enterprises. He has led TCL to develop from a start-up into a global industrial group with leading advantages in the fields of intelligent terminals, semiconductor displays and new energy photovoltaic industry.

In 2019, it was awarded the commemorative medal of "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" by the Party Central Committee and The State Council.

In 2004, he was awarded the French Legion of Honor.

In 2002 and 2004, he was twice elected "CCTV China Economic Figure of the Year".

In 2018, it was awarded the title of "Reform Pioneer" and awarded the medal of "Reform Pioneer" by the Party Central Committee and The State Council.

In 2004, he was named "2004 Asian Economic Person of the Year" by Fortune magazine.

In 2000, he was awarded the "National Model Worker" medal.
